Tom Beckett
Meritage Press 2006

Yeah. Ok. There isn't a double-fold -- here -- that doesn't contain the needed ingredients for the top-shelf feeding frenzy of poetry's emaciated, elitist. At random, I insist, page 158 invokes dreams (natch), a figure, "an intuition / about your voice." Ok, what's the response? Page 159 reads
When
I first
embraced the picture

I
was invaded
by a blank

(unrevealed
template of
what was coming).
The excitement, not really "unrevealed" at all -- here -- is how deftly dream, intuition, and voice are re-converted into blank tableaux dedicated to what is be- or was "coming."
